1. Acceptance Letter from the professor/associate professor of HUST

*2. Certificate of Non-criminal Record

A certificate issued by the police station or law enforcement agency certifying that you have no previous criminal record. During the epidemic, overseas applications can replace this document with a personal commitment letter, and provide official document before entering China.

*3. Personal Statement

Introduce yourself in details, explain your understanding of China, list the reasons and your expectations for studying at HUST.

*4. CV

Including educational background, work experience, and publication list if available.

*5. Physical Examination Form

-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo will be considered invalid.
-The document must be in English or Chinese.

*7. Writing sample

A written work submitted for either a grade or publication.
The paper closely related to the field of study you wish to pursue in the division would be preferred.

*8. Passport

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included(Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months. Applicants currently residing in China must include a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.)

*10. Transcripts

Academic documents issued in the third language should be notarized in Chinese or English editions.

*11. Academic Certificate

An official certificate of your highest education or the official document of enrollment issued by the current school. Academic documents issued in the third language should be notarized in Chinese or English editions.

*12. English proficiency test certificate

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.

*13. Two letters of recommendation

Signed by your former lecturers, professors/associate professors, or the renowned in the field of your future study.

*14. Study Plan/Research Proposal

More than 1,000 characters or words, in Chinese or English;
Structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Significance of Research, Reference.
Details: Introductory background, Research questions, Aims/Objectives, Expected Results, etc.
Future academic/career objectives (Preferred).

*15. Financial Certification/Bank Statement: 5,000 USD or above.

*16. Personal Introduction Video

Please record and submit a video in English or Chinese within 60 seconds.

Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
